The right reverend Dobson just stepped in it big time |
|
via one of his friendly little family advice sessions. Seems we need to let our children see us work and since our employer is likely to frown upon us bringing our children to work to observe us, he advised his followers to bring some work home so that their kids can watch them work. I wonder how employers would feel about having paperwork from the office brought home so their employee's kids can look it over. One would suspect most employers would prefer to keep that sort of thing private...

to have their workstaff do more work at home. You don't have to bring confidential papers home to do work...

17. That's why the French invented the attache case |
|
In my world, my father's briefcase was sacred and off limits. His many attache cases were another story, but that one large leather briefcase he carried contained secrets (privileged information) that represented a world that was never to be shared. In some ways, the mystique of that case was larger than life and is a fond memory I maintain in reverence of my father - a professional to the end.

5. And when we get done with all this paperwork at home son |
|
you can take a shower with daddy and look at his penis. Then after we are done, I'll tell you why Jesus wants you to hate homosexuals and liberals and news reporters and those who choose not to go to church in this christian nation.

8. Sometimes when you lie or start from a false premise you |
|
start contradicting yourself. In one of my recent cruises through hate websites, there was a thread on a white pride website about their usual hatred of Jews. Some guy with a Muslim name has been posting there as well his hatred of Jews. After quite a few answers all in agreement with the Muslim guy, some little jello brained poster piped up about the fact he didn't agree with this enemy of my enemy is my friend thing all the time. After all aren't all Muslims as bad as the Jews he reasoned? Hehe. That comment ended the thread and I believe got the Muslim poster evicted as well.

The tv was running background noise which I ignored until Dobson came on.

10. I do because I find a lot of the talking points keep creeping up |
|
on DU, so I need to know where they are coming from even if no one else is interested. However, I have found unexpectedly that they can be entertaining, just like the thread I talked about. Also, the dating advice forum over at Stormfront.org is often unintentionally very humorous.

14. Oh, those people shouldn't have children. |
|
Children are for white, churchgoing, suburbanites in thier first (hetero) marriage. That attitude comes through loud and clear if you look at any fundie-oriented parenting literature and clearer still if you look at the policies of thier adoption organizations.

I can think of a lot of occupations where the employer could be expected to object to allowing anyone else (children for example) to look at what's going on inside their company.

I have been taking him to work with me, occasionally, since he was 8 yrs old. He has learned quite a bit in the last 4 years.

20. He also thinks boys should shower with their dads. |
|
So they would know they are normal. He didn't exactly mention the little girls, though.
This was in his weekly column in our "libertarian" Gazette. The guy is definitely bent, so is the paper, for what it's worth, the GOP suck ups.
