NewsHour just listed 9 recently fallen soldiers. Only one was older than..
my youngest son (24).

7 were between 18 and 21.

This shit is just killing me.

1. it's heartbreaking, every day when they do that it makes you want to
scream. right now since Sept 1st it's 3.25 fatalities a day, i'm sure that number for wounded is at least triple that.

3. My oldest grandchild
is 21, and her brother is 20. I can't imagine these precious children going off to fight this kind of war. Every death I read about, I can see a beloved family member being one of those causalities, and my heart breaks. I know full well that every Iraqi, and every Afghani mother, and grandmother, feels the same. We have a war started by rich old white men, being fought by young men and women, and if people can't see the injustice of this, they are too thickheaded to deserve the right to vote.

I can't help the way I feel. I have raised children, step-children, and younger brothers, and have a very protective attitude about these young people. We are asking them to cut their lives short so that Halliburton and the oil companies can make even more profit. This is wrong, and immoral. We have to come out in massive numbers in November, and make our numbers so strong that they cannot steal another election.

4. I think PBS Newshour is the only station who shows the casualities
I get upset at the number of soldiers who are getting killed out in Iraq for a lie. Deeply disturbing to lose all these good soldiers.
