1. The slot will be guest-hosted |
|
for the next week. Then Laura steps in to listen to the "sounds of silence." Pity. I really had nothing against her, but listening to her is tacit support for the boneheaded, knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, dirt-stupid, sprayed-roach-crazy decision the suits at AAR made when they purged Mike.

4. You may quote anything you like |
|
I guess the ultimate test is a week from tonight, when AAR replaces the best voice they had going with something less, I mean "else."

Thom's local and syndicated shows today were the same.
David Sirota was one of the guests.
So was David Horowitz. His second appearance.

9. I feel bad for any talker |
|
who is put into this Hobson's Choice.
On the one hand, you see an opportunity to advance your career. On the other, you have to do it by participating in a righteous screw-job.
As Mike himself has frequently noted, radio is a great job, but a truly shitty business.

8. As a premium subscriber, I resent this surprise and mystery.... |
|
First off, I MAY not have subscribed to AAR premium THREE DAMN WEEKS ago had I'd known what was going to happen with Mike.
For DAMN SURE, I will NOT renew my subscription until the time when they firm up the schedule in September(s)...
But seriously, I HOPE that AAR knows what their new schedule is going to be. I mean, really, are there slots still in "negotition" before firing Mike Malloy?
As a webmaster, I resent this on a different level, because I know they could update their website INSTANTLY but are keeping things a "state secret"...
