My Email to MSNBC
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 08:13 PM by Brundle_Fly
Here in canada, you have to pay to get your channel.

I have paid for the last three years, I enjoy some of your programming, but I am beginning to think that MSNBC is opting to become more like a Faux News channel than a true news organizations of late. We can also get Fox News here in Canada, but I choose not to pay for it.

As a PAYING customer, I think after this weeks repeated notion from your talking heads that Osama and the democrats are in line, faxing each other talking points, or like a Michael Moore is nothing but Fox worthy newsman-ship. It's so incredibly trashy, that it stinks your channel up to high hell, and avoids any notion of truth, or honesty. You would never see a true journalist make these accusations on the air here, and you probably wouldn't on a network news station either. Yet, these days perhaps its that no holds barred rule of a 24/7 news cycle, that saying things like this, is all you have to create news for yourself.

Personally, I would try to reign Tucker in, although we know he isn't a "journalist" there is some level of base edict of class a person should show, rather than pure vicious partisanship, and as for Chris Matthews, he is supposed to be hosting debates, not making them up on the spot, or turning himself into the story, that's Bill O'Reilly's field, and a proper newsman should altogether try to avoid.

I don't expect a true response other than the usual, server generated response, I am pretty sure that emails to you go into your black hole and you don't really give a damn about what we people think, we are supposed to be the consumer, and we are not the advertiser. In fact I think you actually think of us as the product.

MSNBC had great promise to change the way the people saw the news, offer insight and challenge perspectives, sadly now, we see this is not, nor has it ever been your intension. You want to continue grabbing that little 30% offshoot of Fox, by providing pretty much the same non-quality programming. Hell, the louder the better.

Well there is 50,000,000 people who voted democrat in the last US election and there is another 15,000,000 in canada as well. We are all unsatisfied with the news we are offered, you'd think that basic knowledge that if even 10% of us thought your news was worthy of being something other than just right slanted, and watched... your market would be bigger than all the 24/7 news combined.

It's really basic business 101

but what do I know, I am your product.

1. I'm giving up watching them
They've just gone too far. Shoddy journalism, if you can even call it that. I've been insulted by that channel for the last time!

I am so sick of being treated like a fucking bozo, if they don't want to educate or deliver truth I have no choice but to cancel this bogus channel.

Thankfully we have the CBC here in Canada, they hate everyone, and keep it pretty unbiased.

11. I just fired one off.
MSGOP

Gee. Now we've got 3 channels of Faux News. Why are you and CNN (aka Conservative Noise Network) fighting tooth and nail for the knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathers that populate the bottom third of our populace.

I want to barf every time I see Joe Scarborough, Chris Mathews, and Rita Crosby. These guys tell bald-faced lies on the air with impunity. They slander anyone who disagrees with the president. Willfully distort the news, and on and on, ad absurdum.

The only show on your network worth a damn is Countdown. I refuse to watch you, Faux or CNN. In fact, I wish I had to pay for all of you seperately, so I could refuse to. Your clowns would never waste an electron in my house again.

Why don't you give an hour to a couple of real journalists. Say someone like Amy Goodman or Eric Alterman.

Buzz of MSRNC.

Sincerely,

MAKE HIM DO HIS JOB!

control the debate between pukes and dems, call bullshit on the spew that comes out of people like Melman's mouth, and don't give people a free pass to lie.

pretty simple actually.

FYI, I actually like the ex FOX reporter he has "doing his job" on hardball, I'll be damned if I can remember his name.
