It's going to take some real creativity for me to address these folks in a polite way. Hard for me to be tactful and diplomatic while feeling outrage at the same time. But I'll do my best if that's what Randi wants.

I love Mike Malloy.

For many of us loyal Air America Radio listeners Mike Malloy was the heart and soul of your network. We realized that his late night time slot was not optimum, but we didn't mind. We were very happy with the fact that Air America Radio chose to give Mike a forum.

In fact, it was Air America Radio's choice to put on Mike Malloy that convinced me that I need to give Air America Radio a try. I purchased a very expensive XM2Go radio so that I could take AAR everywhere I go. This has given me an opportunity to delve into many of the other AAR programs which I also have found informative and entertaining.

* Al Franken -- especially Thursdays (Oliphant) and Fridays (Conason)
* Randi Rhodes -- Isn't she just great?
* Ring of Fire -- I listen *every* weekend.
* Morning Sedition -- But you killed that great program, too.
* Sam Seder -- Boy! Has Sam turned into a great broadcaster, or what?
* Laura Flanders -- Very intelligent, very professional.
* Rachel Maddow -- The tightest program on AAR. News with an edge.
* State of Belief -- I never thought this atheist would listen to such a program, but Rev Gaddy sucks me in every week. Good stuff here.

So, in my case, Mike Malloy has brought Air America Radio a loyal listener to all these other programs.

Your firing of Mike was a shock to me. I am angry enough about it that my support for AAR is in very serious jeopardy. You're not only going to lose a Mike Malloy listener, you're likely going to lose an Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, Ring of Fire, Sam Seder, Laura Flanders, Rachel Maddow, and State of Belief listener.

If Mike Malloy shows up on Sirius, I will be ditching my XM radio, and Air America Radio, so I can hear him. I'll podcast those AAR shows which I can, but my support for all those other AAR programs will end. I am actively campaigning for Mike to return to the air. I have contacted Sirius to ask them to pick him up for their "Sirius Left" channel.

Your stated reasons for firing Malloy was "financial". I am writing you to inform you that this action will hurt you "financially" as I am far from the only Malloy listener who feels this way. We will all go where Mike goes.

And I heard her explain this twice, live off XM, in our offices at work today.

Like I just tried to explain to someone else, she said she knew Malloy "said" he's never coming back; but he did NOT tell her to "forget about it."

She said she doesn't know if Mike would be interested in coming back to AAR, and she said she had not talked with him as of air-time today because she just found out about his situation last night after getting back from vacation. But make no mistake, she and her producer want him back at AAR in his night-time time slot ASAP.
