James Dobson and Osama bin Laden. Any Difference?

James Dobson and Osama bin Laden. I know, I know. The distinction between these two "men of god" is possibly so fine that it requires a caliper in the nano-scale to measure it, but I'm sure that here at the DU, there must be a few sharp minds that could help one distinguish between these two.

What are some telltale disimilarites between these two men that would help one not to mistake them for being one and the same? Are there any? Have some fun while your at it.

has never advocated that children be beaten "until they cry real tears." Neither has he urged full grown men to take their young sons into the shower and expose themselves to them.

By the same token, "Dr." Dobson has never fought the Russians.

Beyond that, it's strictly a battle between "Tastes Great" and "Less Filling."

Seen any of his "Justice Sunday" broadcasts where they feature people who threaten the judiciary (DeLay, Cornyn)?

Check out the association between Dobson and the Religion Industry and Christian Reconstructionism. These people advocate stoning, for heaven's sake! And the advocate physical violence against other of their opponents, too.

It could be the next step and there are those militia compounds out in the woods with all those white supremist dicks who call themselves Christians but hate Jews. Didn't anyone tell them that Jesus was a Jew?

Look to the Southern Baptist Church and neighborhoods around you. IF you're in the South, odds are those neighborhoods are chock full of gun-totin' Repiglicans who will do anything they're told, as long as they're told from the pulpit.

Well, to be fair, Dobson didn't have anything to do with 911. That I know of.

But he has advocated against the HPV vaccine, which could save tens of thousands of women from death by cervical cancer. And he has successfully thwarted research into stem cells which could save even more lives.
