Hell hath no fury like a white man scorned … or so this tale out of Nebraska could begin.

Robert E. Henderson couldn’t stand the fact that his wife left him for a Hispanic man. Never mind that it takes two to fail a marriage.

Henderson did what crazed white men have done for decades; he joined a remnant namesake of the Ku Klux Klan.

But Henderson’s problems as a jilted man didn’t end in 2003, when his wife left him.

He went on to find love again, becoming engaged. But when a black man showed some interest in the woman who is now his wife, well, that was too much for the envious Henderson.

None of this matters past tabloid trivia except for one mitigating factor: Henderson was an 18-year veteran of the Nebraska state troopers. He carried a badge, a gun and the discretion to kill people.
