2 Lodi residents refused entry back into U.S.
Demian Bulwa, Chronicle Staff Writer

Saturday, August 26, 2006

(08-26) 04:00 PDT Sacramento -- The federal government has barred two relatives of a Lodi man convicted of supporting terrorists from returning to the country after a lengthy stay in Pakistan, placing the U.S. citizens in an extraordinary legal limbo.

Muhammad Ismail, a 45-year-old naturalized citizen born in Pakistan, and his 18-year-old son, Jaber Ismail, who was born in the United States, have not been charged with a crime. However, they are the uncle and cousin of Hamid Hayat, a 23-year-old Lodi cherry packer who was convicted in April of supporting terrorists by attending a Pakistani training camp.

Federal authorities said Friday that the men, both Lodi residents, would not be allowed back into the country unless they agreed to FBI interrogations in Pakistan. An attorney representing the family said agents have asked whether the younger Ismail trained in terrorist camps in Pakistan.

Let me get this straight, you were born here but you can't come into the country unless you speak with the FBI in a FOREIGN country?!? What the fuck is happening to this country? The Cheney administration has so twisted law enforcement I can't believe what I'm reading. The unconstitutional holding of Yaser Hamdi and Jose Padilla without being charged are the other 2 cases that have me screaming over what these cocksuckers are doing to our legal system.

It's getting to the point no where they can charge you for a crime of something you did through a terrorism wiretap warrant they can pick up. That happened recently in Arizona where a Lebanese man was arrested in a baby-food theft racket based on information taken from a FISA-warrant wiretap. Of course he's appealing since you can't use evidence taken from a wiretap that was specified for a different reason. This same sort of anti-Muslim paranoia sweeping this country is very similar to the quasi-racist bigoted investigations of German and Japanese Americans during world war two. Twisted fucks in the FBI wiretapped ordinary peace-loving citizens or even worse put them in Hitlerian concentration camps to help "the war effort."

If we don't stop this anti-Muslim quasi-fascist witchhunt soon all of our constitutional rights are going to be fucked.

With Camp Delta and "black sites," this was a foreseeable next step.
I won't put deportations and disappearances of U.S. citizens at home
beyond the Cheney Mob.

6. Thanks for the link
And tell me about it. Call me a nut but I agree with you about those black sites. Somebody in our government did 9/11. Just look at Operation Northwoods -- that's all I need to know. And besides, how did a building defy the laws of physics and falls straight down when the top should have fallen at an angle and plunged down separately from the rest of the towers?

Too man unanswered questions.
