Where's The "Democratic" Or Unbiased Documentary About Clinton/Bush/9/11 ? |
|
If ABC wants to show a docudrama made by a partisan director with his biased point of view... isn't it Free Speech to allow this to be shown?
Isn't the correct action to demand ABC show a rebuttal rather then censorship?
ABC declined to allow Clinton, Berger and Albright to prescreen the movie.
Therefore, demanding a rebuttal would end up damning ABC for:
not giving the Principals involved a chance to see how they're portrayed not giving the Democrats an opportunity to show THEIR version of events
Frankly, I would prefer this piece o'crap be shown NOW and a movie made by a Democrat be shown a month from now.
Isn't it time elected Democrats and Clinton and his Administration members start standing up and correcting the record?
WHY THE HELL DID IT TAKE THEM FIVE YEARS?
In a way, I almost want tp blame Clinton etc. for NOT explicitly pointing out Bush's failures and highlighting their own actions on terrorism. It's not like the Mediawhores or GOP is going to do it.

Because clinton had a fantastic foreign policy, and he aggressively did pursue bin ladin and tracked him. Republicans liked to say that he missed all these chances to get him, but AT LEAST HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS UP TO, and attempted to thwart him several times.
Lets see, clinton leaving office. Bin ladin tracked to afganistan. U.S.S Cole happens, outgoing clinton team briefs Bush adminsitration about all of this, about the training camps in afganistan...what does bush administration do?
Highlight one thing the bush adminsitration did prior to 9-11? Isn't this the PATH to 9-11???? Are they gonna leave out jan-sept 2001?
How about the gore commision? Anti-terrorism funding under clinton?
All the evidence is a slam dunk - clinton pusrsued terrorism as a threat, Bush ignored it. Why hasn't the media picked this up? Its ridiculous. If you can read, you can find these answers.

2. ABC would just refuse to show anything that doesn't push the |
|
right wing point of view. The project would never get done.

3. Did theaters showing Fahrenheit 9/11 permitt a rebuttal to be shown? |
|
Keep in mind I'm not defending ABC's actions, but you may not want to use this arguement on other message boards.

4. Apples and oranges ... remember "The Reagans"? |
|
Probably not ... because it was shifted off to some obscure channel on cable due to public pressure about "an imagined conversation about AIDS" between Nancy and Ronnie ...
pressure from the reichwing assholes ... I say, if the standard was that the "possible" conversation was enough to force "The Reagans" off the air, then taking obvious liberties (actually, blatant lies) with the Clinton administration is far greater of an assault on the truth ...
Reagan probably hated the gays (played up to that for the Religious Reich, didn't he?) ... probably was mad because Rock Hudson stole some parts he thought he might have been up for ...
