Bush Today; "Goodbye War Crimes Act." |
|
We can't fight Terra if we have to worry about our criminal behavior. Expect Congress to override the Act by October. And bashing the Dems who fight for it.

2. Bush is smart to attack the War Crimes Act |
|
With that act eliminated, that removes an obvious avenue of prosecuting him and others for war crimes.

is that the deed is done. Bush and hic cabal have already broke the law regardless of any attempts to make the law fit their actions.
Also I doubt the will of congress to cover his criminal ass at this point

4. Good point. They already violate the law at will. |
|
And show absolutely no shyness or remorse about it. Why would they bother with nixing the war crimes act?

6. Congress will gloss over that Bush already broke the law |
|
and will vote to give him his "commissions" and claim they did their duty

9. yes, interogators who are doing their professional duty should not have |

to worry about being prosecuted for it.

10. He said : "Congress needs to 'clarify' the War Crimes Act, and Article 3 |
|
of the GC" so as to better understand just what is and isn't torture, and to enact legislation that prevents charges against the CIA...He wants Congress to strip the War Crimes Act in other words and to specifically outline what "procedures" are allowed

Reminds of a joke actually ; How do you know when Bush is lying?:wow:
