Response from KMGH7 Denver to my email about "Path To 9/11" |
|
Thank you for the email regarding “The Path to 9/11”. The following is a statement issued by the ABC Network:
The Path to 9/11 is a dramatization, not a documentary, drawn from a variety of sources, including the 9/11 commission report, other published materials and from personal interviews. The events that lead to 9/11 originally sparked great debate, so it's not surprising that a movie surrounding those events has revived the debate. The attacks were a pivotal moment in our history that should never be forgotten and it's fitting that the discussion continues.
The following disclaimer will air throughout the movie:
"The following movie is a dramatization that is drawn from a variety of sources including the 9/11 Commission Report and other published materials, and from personal interviews. The movie is not a documentary. For dramatic and narrative purposes, the movie contains fictionalized scenes, composite and representative characters and dialogue, as well as time compression."
Again – thank you for writing Denver’s 7.

3. I'm gathering my facts for a rebuttal... |
|
I truly believe that making the local affiliates is the key to getting this thing stopped. Bombard them with emails and phone calls folks. Corporate ABC and Disney don't give a damn about protests. The locals are more tied to their viewers. Give 'em hell!!

Isn't Channel 30 one of the few ABC affiliates to not have a news department?
Supposedly, ratings were so low (probably due to Sinclair's failed "News Central" approach) that they ditched the news department altogether.
I've heard that most of Sinclair's Big 3 network affiliates are embarassments, and that they only do well with UPN and WB affiliates (now CW and MYTV).

11. You are correct, Channel 30 does not have a |
|
news department.
The only thing I watch on that station is Lost and may have to stop doing that.
