Tony Blair to announce resignation plans within the next hour
Keeping my eye on the TV news.

S'pose it's too much to hope he'll say "I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon tomorrow"

1. especially since he is not a president.
I do believe they still call them ministers in merry olde England, with Blair owning the Prime number.

4. No, Greeby got it right

He WISHES he were president - not just the guy who lead the Labour Party at the time they took over Parliament. Trouble for him is he is Prime Minister and can be thrown out when his party has finished with him. Do you reckon the Repubs would like the same?

edit to add ... as of 1.30pm BST(12.30 GMT) no news. (BBC or Google)

13. It'll be...
.. "I'll resign in a year" type of thing. He shouldn't get another year, not even another day.

16. Typical sycophantic weaseling speech from Broon just now
Honestly, Gordon, if you don't want to be Prime Minister bad enough to fight for it, what use are you?
