20. I Tried Out His Book
What a waste of time. It was basically a screed about how we should be watching out for Muslims. His over-reliance on neocon sources such as Christopher Hitchens and Bernard Lewis, his lack of basic understanding of the Muslim faith such as his contention that there is nothing in the Koran that forbids suicide even though there are several bans on suicides in the Hadiths, his support of the use of torture, and pretty much his smart-alecky approach to the whole question of religion and American foreign policy that leaves him sounding like a college sophomore mouthing off from the back of the room.

I almost put the book down when he justified collateral damages in Iraq by saying that our "enemies" wouldn't be as "humane" as we are if they were to invade us. That position begs so many questions I won't waste the pixels addressing them here.
