The execs and studio bosses are dyed in the wool liberals and huge supporters of Clinton and the Democratic Party in general. They had no idea any of this could happen. As I understand this, the lawyers and production team spent literally months corroborating every story point down to the sentence. The fact that they were the attacked and vilified by their "own team" took them completely by surprise; this is the first time they've been labeled right-wing, conservative conspiracists.http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/g/9367b3cd-be2a-40a3-b927-1854a0115108

Afterall, they want low taxes on their dividends and capital gains. Bush serves them.

3. Studio Execs do tend to be liberal - it's the CEO's of the owner corps... |
|
...who are the repubs.
One example - head of TIme Warner is a repuke, the heads of Warner Bros. Studios are big democrats.

EVERY exec I've checked out has been a partisian Republican. Hewitt claimed they were "died in the wool Democrats."

STAGGS, THOMAS O MR. BEVERLY HILLS, CA 90210 THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY/S.E.V.P. & BUSH, GEORGE W (R) President BUSH-CHENEY '04 (PRIMARY) INC $2,000 primary
I'll check out more names later. Amazing. Some of them "cover" by contributing to Democrats who can't lose, but they have not contributed to Kerry or Gore.

22. Disney employs thousands of people |
|
When I make a contribution online to the dems, I put in my employer. It doesn't mean that I am contributing for the studio I work for.
You can do this all day for any studio and you will find people who contribute to both sides.

20. Disney PAC not nearly as one sided as Viacom |
|
Focusing on PAC contributions, I take your point that Disney has leaned toward repubs in recent years. But I wouldn't put them in the same league as Viacom, which bends over for the repubs. For example, in 2006, Disney's PAC has donated $80,000 to House repub candidates and $75,500 to Democratic candidates, a 51.4/48.6 percent split. Compare that to Viacom, whose PAC has donated $60,500 to repubs House candidates, and only $19,500 to Democratic House candidates (a 75.6/24.4 percent split)
