Who financed the ABC 9/11 miniseries? |
|
Amid the whirlwind of fury surrounding this program, it didn't occur to me until now to ask if anyone knows who footed the bill for the show's production. I just read that it cost $40 million and we already know it'll be aired without commercials. I really doubt there's much chance they'll make it up on the back-end via things like iTunes Music Store downloads.
So pardon me for asking if this has already been answered, but where did the $40 million that produced this slag-heap come from? Mellon-Scaife? AEI? Heritage? Disney itself? Raytheon? Halliburton?

4. This Is The Course To Take, For Sure,... |

---- "Follow the money" has been good advice for catching GOP crooks and criminals in the past, and it seems to be an even more feasible strategy in this case. Showing this flick to be out-and-out propaganda should not be that difficult....

7. The most cynical answer-- |
|
Probably the most likely to be correct.
This is where that "missing" $9 billion in Iraq Coalition Provisional Authority cash (money stolen from the US taxpayers); and the riches wheedled by Abramoff and his ilk (for governmental favors that in all likelihood worked to the disadvantage of the average American); are come back to haunt us.

first of Sept.?????????? Half a billion would handily cover these expenses.Don`t have time to search for the link, on my way to work. The money was supposed to go directly to bush. Something about a logging deal. Have to run, but hope this helps.

8. Possibly the Christian Right |

Read here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x2071734I think I kind of buried the lede in that thread's subject line because cults are such a hot button for me, but the connections between the director's father and the Christian Right, especially Reconstructionists, are undeniable.
