Do you ever ask yourself that question, only to later always find without fail, after reading about its latest action/inaction/negligence/scandal/stupidity, that yes indeed it can get worse.

Will these plutocrats ever reach their zenith (or is it apex) of badness?

4. picture this nightmarish scenario

Bush with the help of the supreme court declares prolife the national church of america.
Than each state will have it' state sponsored church. That's where all this intelligent design crap is going. Trust it's just a stones throw away from happening.
Note I am not a conspiracy theorist. I just been fighting against evangellical extremism since 2000 and i know what they want. Do you think the Republicans would be giving so much power to the executive branch if they ever intended to allow anyone else in office?

What's going to happen if the Democrats take the House and perhaps the Senate in 2006? What's going to happen if the Republicans lose the presidency in 2008? Will they willingly give up power or will there be a state of emergency for some reason?
