Who in the Fuck Cares What the Freepers Think? |
|
Anybody with more than two functioning brain cells already knows that they are thoroughly loathsome creatures: stupid, self-righteous, cruel, ignorant, etc. They've always been that way.
So why is it that whenever one of them drops a particularly stinky turd on that forum, someone else breathlessly rushes to DU to stick it up under our noses and say, "Smell this! It sure does stink, doesn't it? This one will really make you sick, won't it? C'mon, smell it some more! This is the stinkiest turd I ever did smell! You wanna smell it some more? Do you wanna feel it? It's real squishy!"
I just don't get it. Why the endless fascination with the chromosomally-challenged cretins on that site? Why the compulsion to drag the worst of their hateful, brain-damaged ravings to this site? Yeah, I understand the business about staring at a car wreck when one drives by, but people don't actually go out in search of car wrecks to stare at. Do they?

to a certain extent that may be true but I think most people go there to try and see how the other end of the political spectrum looks. However it is completely detatched from reality so it serves no value.

Some of us get so worked up at all the things wrong with today, that we need an example of how worse things could be.

if no one acknowledges their existence. :)
Acknowledging anything in the way of a 'talking point' only serves to double up on the original bogus charge.
Take a hint from the recent WaPo Gestapo gaff. Don't repeat the bogus charge, repeat the truth!

9. Because They're a Sounding Board |

They tell us much more about the Pubbie echo chamber than we could ever find out by ourselves. And frequently they tell us by what they're NOT writing about.
I say let 'em vent. It's cheap oppo research.

and realize that the freepers were duped by an administration that cloaked themselves in religion and patriotism but whose exclusive intent was greed and hegemony

Freepers don't THINK. They have no clue what is REALLY happening. When are they going to realize that THEY are NOT ONE OF THEM?

We do it because we like going to zoos and watching the locals behave as they do.
I never go to FR anymore. But when I did, it always reminded me of the enclosure the shit-flinging gorilla lived in at the zoo I got taken to as a kid.

I don't understand why any DUers torture themselves by going to freeperville. I gave up on any of them seeing the light about 5 yrs ago. They are one group of enemies that I don't care to know. Thanks for the belly laugh QC!

17. The shit that's going on is so mind numbingly painful |
|
that sometimes it's fun to stare at the, um, Jerry Springer rejects.
That said, I don't go there but I don't mind occasionally amusing myself when someone imports some of their crap. If I'm not in the mood, I just skip it.

18. totally agree - it's irrelevant and distracting |
|
not to mention a complete waste of time. Posts about "why I hate freepers" etc are pointless and they achieve nothing, nowt, zilch zip. I've done it in the past but I've decided to stop wasting time on pointless slagging off of freepers.
Besides which, it's only stooping to the lowest level.

Plus, I think, wallowing in their negativity tends to discourage people, and we need all the optimism we can muster.

19. Hahaha...Sometimes I go peek there and say: |
|
"Now I've seen everything, absolutely everything". But I'll be damned, they top themselves everytime.
I only hope that their skewed vision of reality is a sign of desperation, and the house of crooked cards is about to collapse on them.
Until then I just have to see the freak show. But only if they continue to bring more and more bizzare acts to the show.
