3. I spent the afternoon...

making a CodePink banner for a peace rally here in PA on Sunday. When I was in college in the late sixties, I never imagined I would be doing this again. Unless there is a draft, the young people will not take to the streets. No one is sacrificing a thing for this "occupation", unless they have family there. I lost a brother to Vietnam, now I have two students missing legs, and one blind thanks to Iraq. Several more there now that I worry about everyday. Can you tell I taught in a poor school district?
I thought at this point of my life, I would be traveling around Europe, now I will never be able to afford to do that.

i drive around in this in a very very very red panhandle of texas. also do a whole lot. never got my ass kicked,never will, nor jail, just not allowable. i do it all with a smile. much more fun that way

do odd things to let me know they approve. like come to car at intersection. i was even stopped in a store a person asked if it was my car. i say yes... they tell me months ago saw it across town and was reading all the stickers. they saw "the" car again and was fun for them. i am becoming infamous here in town, lol

During the '04 elections, I covered my car with big signs. I made them from my computer. Every sign had to be puzzled together and then I sealed them with mailing tape. I would park my car in populated places. I remember driving down the New York State thruway with a picture of Usama with the caption, "Where's Usama? Bush admittedly gave up on looking for him". I either got dirty looks or thumbs up.

Good way to get people off their asses, tell them that what you need them to do is infinitely more important than what they feel they need to do... after cussing them out. Maybe I'll take time out from my 70-80 hour work week to go hang with Cindy. I'm sure my kids won't mind not eating... :eyes:
