Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 02:46 AM by Philosoraptor
Would they be burning down ABC if it planned on airing a movie basically suggesting that bush was too distracted or flat out ignored specific warnings that an attack was coming? Would they complain that it is an unfair portrayal of what happened?

I think they would in spades, I think republican senators would be on the floor demanding ABC be brought up on charges of treason and bloviating till they pass out with outrage.

Maybe someday somebody will have the guts to make a movie about how bush LET IT HAPPEN ON PURPOSE, which is not some wild eyed made up scenario but the cold, brutal truth.

2. A dramatic portrayal of how they lied us into 2 wars after allowing 9-11
with w in the oval office screaming at his new cabinet and going totally apeshit to start a war no matter what, with the actor swigging booze right out of the bottle and sneaking out to snort coke and smoke crack.

F9-11 was a documentary, I'm thinking of a docudrama like the ABC thingy with actors and made up shit, only you won't need to make anything up.

15. And F911 was a theater movie one had to pay to go and see!
TV makes access so much easier, they'll have people watching by default, especially without ads. Which is the most suspicious part of the whole thing, IMO.

4. "Punked to 9-11" Starring Keanu Reeves as the president
an aid runs breathlessly into the oval office with an urgent warning that Osama was planning an airliner terror attack while the president is on his first extended vacation only to be rebuffed by the drunken, crack crazed man with, "aright stretch, ya done covered yer ass, now git the fuck outta here already".

bush leans over to open a drawer with a mirror laden with lines of coke and snorts three of them up with a rolled up copy of the constitution.

"Fuck em all, I'll have my god damned war and they can all kiss my dick cheney", burp, fart, giggle.

10. Can you imagine?
The movie would start with the letter from PNAC stating their desire to invade Iraq, Iran, Syria, etcetera, but acknowledging Americans weren't likely to go along without an attack on our soil, a second Pearl Harbour . . . then, well, you know the rest. I honestly wonder if the Bushies will try to get this movie canned.

11. If Bill Clinton really was at fault, the Repukes wouldn't have fought
against the 9/11 commission forming to find out what went wrong and Bush would have testified UNDER OATH, instead of a "friendly conversation" with his buddy Unca Dick ...

24. You have to wonder about people who think we all wake up with a blank
slate every morning, with no memory of events as they happened. It makes me think that that is exactly how they wake up. And then I start wondering about their sleep meds... and if they are mixing them with alcohol.

13. Bingo!
And it sickens me that ABC claims that The Path to 9-11 was based (in part) on the findings of the commission Queen George fought tooth and nail against forming! Bet they left that detail out!

a trial, and Jesus Christ himself blamed Bush for 9/11.

They're the original whiners, in a constant state of denial.

Be it heads in the sand or heads up the ass, they almost never have their heads squarely in place.

Edit: Actually, didn't the Republicans get all up in arms over that Reagan movie a few years back? They got it off the air and it moved to cable. Is that what happened?

The funny thing is, the movie made the Reagans more human in my view. It just figures that the right-wing would hate something like that.
