Pentagon "bomb scare", annoyance and cynicism...
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 07:54 AM by Virginia Dare
So I found myself in the middle of the Pentagon bomb scare yesterday, which hit right at the height of rush hour. The bus bays which serve 36,000 commuters per day were shut down between 3:30 and 6:00 because of a blue SUV with suspicious characteristics. My guess is the man driving it got lost and he is of Arab dissent. Supposedly, they didn't find anything harmful, but they did find "items of interest". He probably had a Koran in the car.

When thousands of commuters are thrown out onto the street in the middle of chaos by MP's toting automatic weapons and bomb squad goons, guess what? They're not scared. Being scared is the last thing they feel. They're pissed. They're irritated. They're cynical.

Children don't get picked up, dogs don't get let out, kids are left standing on soccer fields waiting for the coach. When you're worrying about these things, you don't feel scared.

And nobody there thought for a minute that there was any threat, if that was the goal here. Yes, I've grown so cynical about these things that I wouldn't doubt for a minute if the whole thing was staged. Flame me if you want. I'm just so tired of this crap.

Eventually, this administration is going to cry wolf just once too often.

edited for bad spelling

2. All the evidence points that way...
which is why I don't think it's such an outrageous leap to think they had a hand in 9/11.

4. Even though that is the popular opinion among the "aware"...
9/11 is still not allowed to be discussed in any light that does not reinforce the official story.

5. * keeps implying they were not terrorist related.
Which is a rather obvious careful parsing to exclude acts of all types of domestic terrorism.

Suppose ABC will run an anniversary of the anthrax terror?

8. No doubt in my tiny little mind!
Militarized anthrax from a secure facility. It isn't like just anybody can traipse in and out of one those anonymously. I worked in a Secret facility for years, three layers of of access to gert in and out, it was literally impossible to do something like that. That facility at Ft Dietrich would have been Top Secret, even more secure.

Bottom line, they are blowing massive quantities of smoke up our collective butts. I may be gullible, but there are limits.

3. Everytime they pull crap like this, I think "the terrorists are
winning".
They have got this administration, and the 30% backwash so damned scared that America can become paralyzed for every little thing.

We need an administration with a little intestinal fortitude.

6. that is exactly what happens with false threat and abuse by admn
this is exactly what htey create what what pisses me off hte most in hteir abuse to create fear, you get the cynicism. hence the story of little boy that cried wolf. this is on bush shoulder and what they created which is the greatest threat to us. our lack of trust, because of what bushco has done in the past, present and what we suspect will be the future
