Basically I just commented that Ms Howell must not be a politically aware as she claims to be if her experience only just now made her realize that political discourse was nasty.

I pointed out that repugs have been sliming Dems, liberals, etc for years now.

She's an Ombundsman...the "keeper of the integrity"...the "finder of facts". Her opinions should be the last thing I either see or care to read. Her job was to straighten out distortions that have been spread by Repugnican shills and do the one thing she's paid to do...Print the record. Not interpret it, not judge it....print it. She failed.

It's not the first time, either. Then as the "liasson" with the public, she not only shuts down comments from that public but then starts crapping all over a good number of them...people who took the time (more than I did...I couldn't bother) to write their thoughts to her.

I'm very heartened to see the big furor the Howell and now Tweety crap has lit up the blogosphere and hope it not only continues but increases many fold. Like you, I'm sooooooo tired of having to turn on the TV and say "do I believe the truth or my lying eyes?"

They tend to be "country mice" who spend a lot of time on church doings and not much on news gathering. Why gather news for yourself when Fox News and Rush do it for you?

Besides, they tend not to have computers with high-speed access out in the sticks. Computers! Most of them sound like they didn't finish high school.
