Instead of attempting to answer bogus claims and obviously leading questions by the Right or by media talking heads with declarative statements or with facts...
(ex: "Here's what I think..." - which gets lost and forgotten and basically not paid attention to...)

Why don't Dems (or whoever) ask questions back asking the person for clarification on EXACTLY what they're saying???

For example:

"Some Democrats say..."
"Hold on, which Democrats specifically?"

"What is the Democrats strategy for the war on terror?"
"Can you articulate what is the Republican strategy...?"

etc.
etc.
etc.

I can think of 101 instances every day where this can be used to great effect.

And I wish I could articulate it a little better :)

3. Thanks!
I just think it would be an excellent strategy to get these RW clods to:

Articulate more than their talking points.
Get them on record and expose their BS for what it is.
Keep them talking and doling out the rope...eventually these idiots hang themselves.

A few, "Can you explain that further so the American people understand exactly what you're saying" can go a LOOOOONG way.

2. Agreed,........
---- Debating skills are mostly lacking in politicians of both parties,.... and the electorate scarcely consists of knowledgeable debating "judges."

4. Very true...
Seems to me you'd get so much more "bang for your buck"
by making them explain THEIR points rather than responding to their points.
