Perfect. Just fucking perfect.

Hiding behind the flag and 9-11. How utterly close to perfection for GOP symbolism can you get?

Once again, we see the GOP doing what they do best...spouting off debunked lies and baseless opinion as fact, all while wrapped up in the flag, and hiding behind the Bush Administrations biggest failure. The thing is, It’s really not the blatant misuse of the media, the lies, the sheer incompetence of the administration in general, or the seething corruption that moves up the chain from the lowliest GOP congressional aide to the office of the President that appalls me. It’s the sheer pride that they take in it that’s disgusting.

You can't help but see the "based on the 9/11 Commission Report." This may be me being silly, but I think the fact that when it says based on the 9/11 Commission Report it should actually BE based on the 9/11 Commission Report. l

You know what I say? Let them air it. Let them air it without commercials. BUT, since there has already been much publicized and public documentation, calling for them to tell the truth by Bill Clinton, take it a step further. After it has been aired, take them to task in the most public way possible over every single lie they told. Do it publicly, loudly, and ferociously.

The thing is, I have seen the mood of the public lately. I just came of a two month road trip from hell, that took me to 8 states, and 12 cities. I have been talking to people all over these great United States of ours. People in states like Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi. The mood of the people is not pretty in regards to the Bush Administration from these so called red states. I don't think this can do anything but backfire on the wingers who cooked it up. My humble opinion on the matter, is that in the end, suppressing this blatant and dishonest propaganda will hurt them much less than actually letting them find out the hard way, that outside of the Fox News and Rush Hannity crowd, that nobody buys it anymore, no matter how they package it.

Oh, and a big HOWDY to the Fox news Brit Hume crowd that has found it's way over here despite the fact that Fox got the name of the website wrong.

Thanks for the free advertising Brit :hi:

1. About those people you talked to...
We have two high-end retail stores in Marin County.

One is an apparel store in Tiburon, a tourist destination on SF Bay.
The other is Asian furniture and decorative accessories in San Rafael.

Even though we are in Marin Co., we get quite an interesting mix of traffic.
I never miss a chance to get in a dig at this administration. And I do get some interesting responses.
Lately, however, there has been absolutely no defense of * and the boys.
None.

4. Interesting, because Marin is pretty darn conservative.
The ones that stick out most in my mind though, is Dallas. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and just the utter contempt I was hearing, for this group in power from people I talked to was pretty freakin' amazing. This is Dallas. The Bid "D". You have to drive on the "George Bush Highway" out there after you leave the airport.

5. The "liberal media" line has become comedic in the past few years.
I know there are still some hardcore fools who still buy it, but I've got to think that, for the average person, that lie is getting harder and harder to believe.
