WTF? I just got phone surveyed about that ABC show |
|
Has anyone else gotten this call?
I picked up the phone and got the schtick about "Do you have five minutes to complete a quick survey?" I actually like taking phone surveys so I said yes. I was expecting something election oriented, but got one about this "Path to 9/11" show! It was actually a very quick survey. The questions as I remember them:
1. Have you heard of the ABC miniseries "Path to 9/11" (or whatever it's called) airing blah blah blah? I answered yes
2. How likely is it that you will watch it? (10 very likely, 1 not likely) I answered a five.
3. Have you seen/heard/read any stories in the news pertaining to this miniseries? I answered yes
4. How many of these stories have you seen/heard/read? I just threw out the number 4.
5. Out of these 4, how many were slightly positive to very positive about the miniseries? I answered zero
6. How many were slightly to very negative? I answered all 4
7. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being very influential, 1 being not influential at all), how have these news stories influenced your likeliness of viewing PT911? I anwered 3, but I should've answered 10, dammit.
And that was it. Anyone else get this call?

4. I got a call the other day |
|
same schpel do you have time to answer a few questions. I said, who are you with? I didn't understand the first time, can you repeat who you are with (muffled), still could not understand. I said, who requested the survey to be done? There was a pause and the woman said well they don't want to disclose that. I said, well then I have nothing to say and hung up.

Just went for it. I've found a lot of times the people doing the surveys don't even know who the specific client is anyway.

6. If they want a valid poll, the interviewers probably shouldn't know... |
|
who commissioned the poll. If the interviewers know, it might skew the results. If they tell the pollees, it might skew the results by causing them to be more or less willing to participate.
