because I hear (and personally notice) that gas prices go down before an election if a Republican is in office. Has anyone ever seen a study on this? I would love to send out an email about this.

that is bringing prices down. But 20%? Topped out at $3.10 around here, now at $2.35. I expect it to be around $2 by election time. Yes, the oil industry would take a short-term loss for the bushistas. They gave him millions, he allowed them to make billions.
