MTP Carville just said Reid committed a "crime" by attacking Repukes
associated with Abramhoff! :puke::puke: Then went on to applaud him for owning up to his "crime by apologizing. :puke: Said it was "refreshing". :puke: Mary Matlin was sitting right next to him. No doubt she wrote the talking points Carville so dutifully spewed out. :puke: Disgust doesn't begin to express my feelings for the farce I just witnessed.

8. I watched MTP today out of curiosity about what Obama would say.
He was so-so, trying to keep himself above the fray and not take a stand against the status-quo. He unfortunately set himself up for charges of hypocrisy and playing politics, when he stated that he thought taking a "get out of Iraq now" stance would be good for the Dems politically, but he personally feels we have to stay the course. Will these people ever get a clue? :eyes:

So, then I'm presented with the pretend "debate" between Begala/Carville and Matlin. Took about 2 minutes for me to find the remote and get those clowns out of my living room.

4. I don't understand what happened to Carville?
I realize his job when he worked for Clinton was to slam the opposition, and he was very good at it. I a;so don't know who he's working for now. I understand both he and Mary have their own consulting busienss, so anyone could be their clients. But he not only toned down his words and tone, he sounds like the opposition himself!

57. Except that they are always pushing Hillary! on us.
I don't know how they think she could ever win a national election. Her name is worse than Satan's in the red and purple states and we have to flip a couple or three to both unite the nation and win national elections.

They also are buying into the crap that Dems don't have alternatives - don't have proposals, which is bunk.

Other than that, I agree with most of their message regarding what Dems need to do. They do, however, need to get out of the Beltway more often and refine the two messages I mentioned above.

I spoke with him at length about Clinton and what the dems could do if we put or minds to it. He has turned....I don't care what anyone says. And yes, his wife probably wrote it for him.:puke:

They are a cancer that must be removed. The media regularly sets them up as the "liberal" voices, and they act as if they are speaking for us. Carville and Begala DO NOT speak for me.

They have always been poison, because they are DLC sell outs, and the same goes for the Clintons. Lieberman, the Clintons, Carville and Begala are all the same, and they are all what is wrong with the Democratic Party.

Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 12:59 PM by OzarkDem
He's probably living with the daily fear that his wife could end up in prison with a huge pile of legal bills that would destroy him financially.

That's no excuse, however, for repeating false information and covering up for GOP corruption. Instead, he should be quiet and sit on the sidelines if he can't speak honestly. Letting the GOP use him as a propaganda isn't going to help him or Mary. As someone else pointed out, you can't serve two masters.

61. I've always loved Carville
He is the opposite of me - him - triangulate the party (nationally, this often means running a southerner) and isolate the liberals. People, Carville is trying to make the Democratic party more "electable" (read: more corporate).

I am trying to make the party more progressive. I am really not sure exactly how to do this in the RED (states) parts of the country, but I also know that the DLC doesn't know any better then me how to win the RED back.

Anyway, I've always loved Carville. I guess it is easy to do so when you don't subject yourself to political "news" shows like the one described in this thread. Peace, DU!
