He unfortunately set himself up for charges of hypocrisy and playing politics, when he stated that he thought taking a "get out of Iraq now" stance would be good for the Dems politically, but he personally feels we have to stay the course. He is the opposite of me - him - triangulate the party (nationally, this often means running a southerner) and isolate the liberals. People, Carville is trying to make the Democratic party more "electable" (read: more corporate).

I am trying to make the party more progressive. I am really not sure exactly how to do this in the RED (states) parts of the country, but I also know that the DLC doesn't know any better then me how to win the RED back.

Anyway, I've always loved Carville. I guess it is easy to do so when you don't subject yourself to political "news" shows like the one described in this thread. Peace, DU!
