WOA Global warming?
The National weather service just issued a tornado warning in Las Vegas....
It came on the TV over the emergency broadcast system.

I have lived here for close to 20 years now and I have never seen a tornado warning before.

Just about fell out of my chair when I heard it.

Statement as of 2:34 PM PDT on September 08, 2006

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
east central San Bernardino County in southeast California...
south central Clark County in southern Nevada...

* until 300 PM PDT.

* At 232 PM PDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado over
northeastern San Bernardino County... or about 8 miles west of Cal
Nev Ari... and was nearly stationary.

* The tornado is will be near...
rural northeastern San Bernardino County around 250 PM PDT.

In addition to the tornado... this storm is capable of producing
golfball size hail and destructive straight line winds.

Do not use your car to try to outrun a tornado. Cars are easily
tossed around by tornado winds. If you are caught in the path of a
tornado... leave the car and go to a strong building. If no safe
structure is nearby... seek shelter in a ditch or low spot and cover
your head.
