What's going on here with all these cons suddenly joining us on the ABC protest?
Brainstorming here:
They realize the power being demonstrated by the left here and figure that by joining it, thereby removing its partisan elements, it will save them from being steamrollered come November.
They have been trying to steal the biased media meme. They can't afford not to protest such a glaring example of media bias. They need to dull the 'Conservative media' meme.
The Cons "own" 9/11. They need to retain that ownership. They can't allow Libs to shape the historical longview of 9/11.
Trashing non-Fox media enhances Fox's credibility.
What do you guys think? Why are they doing this? It seems clear to me that there is coordination going on on the right.

2. Heh - I posted this similar line of thought in another thread. |
|
2. Never trust GOP motives - they're more likely worried it'll effect Hillary
nomination for 2008 if Bill looks like a bigger problem.
Remember how alot of them came out and condemned the antiHillary book that came out last year? The same people who touted the gushed over the liefest from the Swifts.
Had the book come out in 2008 against Hillary the nominee, the same people would be quoting it as the god's truth.

It's quite possible they sensed the backlash coming and are trying to mitigate the effects.
Doubt it'll help much, though. People aren't voting based on their reaction to this partisan idiocy... they'll be voting based on the economy, Iraq, Afghanistan, healthcare, etc.
The only thing that'll help them is fraud (e-voting, last minute changes to polling locations, etc.) and gerrymandered districts.

6. It's a distraction from the growing 911 truth movement |

and the flagrant omissions and distortions of the official 9/11 commission report.

7. They're trying to foster the "liberal media" perception. |
|
If ABC pulls this movie they have ammo for years to claim as "proof" of a liberal bias in the media.

The strongest cables are made one strand at a time. I think that with all the political personas and punditry getting involved, it is only a matter of time before an illegal censorship movement by the government gets started. I am always paranoid when things like this and other things get emotions rising.

9. If they have any political sense at all they recognize that this is |
|
going to backfire. Much of the country already thinks pugs = liars, this will simply cement the idea. They are trying to put distance between themselves and *ss's political style.
