1. They just said "transponder was turned off, but plane still visible..."
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 07:18 PM by BattyDem
on the radar screen.

Um ... didn't the "official story" say that once the transponders were turned off, they couldn't track the planes so they couldn't shoot them down and there was no way of knowing where they were headed? (We all knew it was bullshit at the time.)

So ... if they could track the planes, they KNEW the second plane was headed to NYC and most likely the second tower. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE GET WORD TO NYC TO EVACUATE THE SECOND TOWER?!? People from the upper floors had come down to the lobby and were told to GO BACK UPSTAIRS because it was safer - debris and people were falling from the other tower and they didn't want anyone getting crushed.

MIHOP! :grr:

2. The officials probably file those souls under 'collateral damage'.
I think they needed a worthy body count to continue their agenda. :grr:

6. I can't remember where I read it at the moment...
but if what I read is correct, the reason the planes were released from NORAD is b/c we have very few fighter jets actually available in the US to cover. The available planes were at NORAD. There were screw ups all over the place that am but I am sure that I read that part about have very few planes for the US. Something like 14 I think.

9. McGuire AFB is 7 minutes from NYC
How can they possibly say that with all the bases across the US, there are only 14 planes available? What the hell would be the point of maintaining all those bases? Why have an air force if they don't have any planes to fly?

Before September 11th, there were always planes flying out of McGuire. I know people who worked in the area and they saw them. I've been to the area (before 9/11) and when I visited, I saw them.

"14 planes" is just another BS excuse.

13. Don't know the answers to your questions but I didn't get that
information from the admin. I think I might have read it in "Fog Of War". Factually, there is a lot we haven't known about how much we have been ripped off by our government. So it really wouldn't surprise me if we are short the air power we need to protect our country.

14. Wow. If we only have 14 "available" planes ...
someone has a lot of explaining to do! Where the f*ck did all that money go?

18. You're right ...Halliburton and the rest of them have it all!
:grr:

By the way, you don't need to verify it for me. I believe you - I didn't mean to make it sound like I didn't - I'm just stunned and appalled by the information. (Though I SHOULD be used to our government's shit by now.)

14 planes to protect our entire country? What a f*cking joke! :wtf:

10. Cape Cod IIRC, a little farther than McGuire in NJ
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 08:12 PM by FogerRox
McGuire was flying f-16s, Cape Cod F-15s. Doesnt matter, an F-16, stripped down does mach 2.25.

McGuire is what... 120 miles from NYC? @ 1500 to 2000 mph, how long does it take to fly from McGuire to NYC? Hell,I'll make it easy, 1200 mph covers 120 miles in how long? 6 minutes...... ?

@ mach 2.2 (full afterburner) we are talking about 3-4 minutes.

...Making NYC only 4-5 minutes (edit: 6-8 minutes @ 1200 mph) from those bases. They had planes making u-turns in the sky for 100 minutes and these fighter jets were ordered to stand down.

Here in NJ we saw f-16s all day on 9-11, flying CAP.

on the screen w/o altitude coordinates.

15. The controllers being interviewed stated ...
that the plane turned and they saw it was headed to NYC. NORAD was notified and planes were scrambled from Massachusetts. I'm not making assumptions - that's what they said.

Also, I recall a CNN special on the one year anniversary and they interviewed air traffic controllers. The interview sticks in my mind because I remember a female controller saying they watched as the plane turned towards New York and for "eleven agonizing minutes, we knew where it was heading." I had the same questions then about the official story saying the plane could not be tracked after the transponder was turned off. If it couldn't be tracked, how could that woman possibly experience "eleven agonizing minutes"?

I wish we had REAL journalists who would look into the discrepancies - not just with this issue, but on all the issues surrounding 9/11. We'll never know what actually happened that day. :-(
