I would like to memorialize W's 7 minutes of sitting on his ass on 9/11
And then sticking around for photos while our country was under attack.

Supposedly he did not know from whom, or how bad, or how long. How did he know it was not an opening salvo of something greater? Why didn't he leap into a limo with the Secret Service and the "football"?

We could have been bombed into oblivion before he got his ass off that seat. Explanations?

2. Perhaps its a fitting memorial
To stand on a megaphone and read my pet goat aloud at ground zero at the anniversary.

I have to go read that book, does it end with, "invade asia and bankrupt us all?"

3. In my opinion, that delay is a clear sign that the US government did
not orchestrate the 9/11 attacks.

Bush did not have a clue what to do. All his life he had played, played at being a CEO, at being a sports team manager, at being a pilot, at being a governor, at being a president. It was all a game funded by money from his Daddy and Daddy's friends, nothing was serious, he could goof off and muck around. If it all went wrong, strings could be pulled and he would be bailed out.

And then, suddenly, it wasn't a game. He didn't know what to do. The cronies around him didn't know what to do. There aren't any strings to pull.

The eyes dart, the bowels loosen. What would Daddy have done? Daddy wouldn't have ignored all those reports. Daddy might have listened during those long, boring briefings.

If his admin knew this was coming, or had planned it themselves, he could have continued playing. He could stride off purposefully to do some Deciding. The speeches would be ready.

But he does nothing. Nothing happens for hours, for days. They are lost.

4. And I disagree
I'm not saying that it is clear evidence that they DID orchestrate the attacks - but I think it is an abnormal response.

You're the President Of the United States and your aide whispers into your ear that the country is "under attack". And you sit. And you sit. And you sit some more. And after that you take the time for some photo ops. Does anyone anywhere think that is the normal response of the leader of any country anywhere?

Were his priorities ensuring the safety and security of the country he was Commander-in-Chief of? He should have been stripped of his Commander-in-Chief duties the next day for incompetence.

Indeed. He was useless. But despite that obvious uselessness, the entire United States was behind him. So he got away with it.

6. Without Cheney, he's lost.
To me, the infamous "Pet Goat" scene was all the proof I needed that Cheney is really the one in charge. Junior clearly didn't have a clue without coaching from good ol' psychotic Uncle Dick.

8. He had already been informed of the first plane before arriving
at the school. John McQuethy (sp?) asked Bush about the first plane hitting the WTC before Junior left for the school. Tony Card's famous whisper was about the second plane. That makes sitting and finishing "My Pet Goat" completely inexplicable.
