The 14 prisoners transferred to Guantanamo were a "font" of intelligence..
So said Condi Rice on Face The Nation this morning. I ask, "If they were a font of intelligence, what exactly did they tell us that has helped us in any way?" I'm sure they would not hesitate to tell us what they have done in this "war on terror" if it served a political purpose. Fifty percent of all the intelligence has been tortured out of these 14 individuals, it was reported by Bob Shieffer. Did they tell them where Osama was? Did they tell them how to prevent any future attacks that were in planning? What exactly was this "font" of intelligence? Where can we point to justify the torture and the foreign prisons?

What Secy. Rice says sounds like "faunt" to me, not quite "font", and not even close to the right pronunciation:
