1. Some people bad mouth Ernie Chambers, and he has done some

really questionable stuff. But when he says Nebraska (and the US) is full of racists, he's right.

The thing about Ernie though is that if you have a problem with the State, the police, a government agency, whatever, he will be the one guy that will help you regardless of race. He was one of the most decent men, combative and angry yes, but decent with a high sence of integrity that we have ever had in the Legislature.

I am white just so you understand this post has no racial overtones either.
