I think it was in 2003, right after the invasion. I support the troops but it's very difficult not to be completely ashamed of that GI in the clip. I can only fall back on the understanding that he was psychologically primed to behave that way and probably following orders--or at least his interpretation of orders.

6. What I find amazing

What I find amazing about this footage is that not only do the US troops run over the car with their tank but also the wood which was looted. Surely the person from whom the wood was looted would want it back. Or perhaps the wood worthless, in which case why is it considered looting and why is the car owner being punished for it?

Did you catch how the one soldier says that kid needs to be in school? I couldn't help but wonder if there even is a school for the kid to go to. Maybe it got blowed up by some other US soldiers.
