GOP spending Millions to Go to Digging Up Dirt on Democrats
Republicans are planning to spend the vast majority of their sizable financial war chest over the final 60 days of the campaign attacking Democratic House and Senate candidates over personal issues and local controversies, GOP officials said.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, which this year dispatched a half-dozen operatives to comb through tax, court and other records looking for damaging information on Democratic candidates, plans to spend more than 90 percent of its $50 million-plus advertising budget on what officials described as negative ads.

The hope is that a vigorous effort to "define" opponents, in the parlance of GOP operatives, can help Republicans shift the midterm debate away from Iraq and limit losses this fall. Like P2 9-11, it's all about the control of power and it doesn't look good for Republicans containing control after November 7th.

1. When the junta has NSA tapping so many phones it affects power grid
they are listening to a lot more than terrorist suspects.

Any doubt they have somethin on ABC execs too?

It was how things were done under Nixon. Lots of the same guys in play, only they have much better tech tools AND they learned the dangers of a free press back in the 70s. No accident they changed media ownership laws in the 80s.

2. They always do that don't they? That's the way they got rid of McCain
when I thought he probably would have won the primaries! Think about what they did to Clinton! That's the Pub MO.

5. With election so near, dwelling on P2 9-11 BS. isn't too bright, They
obviously want to place the blame for Bin Laden remaining free and the reason 9-11 happened on Clinton but we need to remember, we do need to vote them out of power come November and Deal with Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld etc. afterwards...
