We signed so many Petitions and wrote such good "individual comments" |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 06:52 PM by KoKo01
does anyone know what happened to all our Comments and Petitions that all of our Dem Activists sites were giving links to?
I know I had to give my E-Mail Address many times...and in some cases I responded "from my heart" and my "REAL ADDRESS" was listed. In other cases my "Free Mail Address" was the one they got.
Where did our Petitions Go? What about our "individual comments" that had our REAL ADDRESSES in the "passion of the moment" we might have forgotten to "post a blind address."
Were these Petitions delivered? To Whom? and WHAT was their response? It seems the "9/ll" DocuFantasy is still being aired despite all our responses and our "Big Gun Dems" getting onboard to threaten ABC.
What should we "PROGRESSIVES" conclude from this?

2. I read a diary at dKos where the petitions from democrats.com |
|
were printed out and hand delivered to ABC. If you are interested I could try to find the link to the diary again.

4. I Believe they were delivered to ABC...but I await the reponse that tells |

me so. I might be too impatient...but every time I write "personal comments" give my "real e-mail" ...I worry that the Bush Bots are monitoring me. Even when I give my "Freebie Blind e-mail" I worry about that.
I have to hope that our Dems understand that many of us have read the Bush Homeland Security Guidlines and when we Post on a Petition...we do it worried that ourselves and Family are in jeopardy.
I would hope that our Dem Sites understand this and will get back to us Promptly.

but for me personally, I figure I am already on the "watch list" ever since environmentalists were labelled as potential enemies of corporate America.

Micky Mouse ate it then laughed? Donald Duck went crazy and tore it apart? Pluto dug a hole, and put all the petitions in there and covered them up? By the way, what the hell is Goofy?

6. drop your cable/satellite subscriptions |

and stop watching TV. Only when all of us who sign petitions boycott TV will we get fair use of OUR airwaves. It is going to take a lot of us letting the media know we won't play their game. Forget the people who say that a boycott doesn't work. I stopped watching TV shortly after the 2000 election, maybe in spring 2001. The other day someone posted a list of Proctor & Gamble products. Reviewing the list, I realized I only purchase one of their many products. You would be supposed how quickly you stop wanting the advertisers' products once you stop watching TV. It ins't anything you consciously do. You just spend more time looking at price and quality and less at name brands. And very often the store brand turns out to be a lot better than you thought. If you are still watching TV after all we know about the MSM, you are not just part of the problem, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! Join TV watchers' anonymous and free yourself of your addiction to MSM TV. The stuff is poison.

ABC Gets More Pressure to Toss 9/11 Film http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/08/AR2006090800222.html~snip~ The Democratic National Committee said it delivered a petition with nearly 200,000 signatures to ABC's Washington office urging the network drop its "right-wing factually inaccurate mocudrama."

9. That it needs no more than one thread on DU at a time. |
|
A hundred new threads a day only serves to promote the propaganda. For fuck's sake, can we give this bullshit a rest now rather than free advertising?

11. what to think? We have no power and they don't give a shit what we think |
|
a rich religious nutcase pays for a campaign mini-series and ABC says..great.. we'll give you the time..
It' wuill pay off bigtime when enough dummies out there decide the repubes aren't so bad after all and ABC/Disney asks for their next round of favors..
If the dems dare to complain, they are whiney crybabies..

12. Are your arms strained from self-back-patting? |
|
Perhaps all the people who made impassioned posts here, exclaiming about their political committment, should not have spent all that time in the awkward position of patting themselves on their backs. Perhaps they should have thrust their arms forward to their neighbors and tried to talk to them, to convince them that this film and this Administration were worthless.
But then, what's the fun in that? And there was always the chance that these neighbors would have told them that someone besides themselves mattered in this world, and what's the point of being a self-primping "progressive" if you have to do actual work?
