1. Thanks for the list... |
|
Wal-Mart is the easiest one - I never shop at that flea market, and now I have yet another reason to despise that company.

6. Wal-Mart never learns do they? How can one company |
|
continue to always be on the wrong side of SO MANY social and political issues. Their new CEO isn't cutting it.

11. I went to Wal-Mart earlier and filled two carts with groceries |
|
and took them through checkout.
The line was full behind me and on both sides. The total was $219.23.
Then, calmly, I told the cashier:
"Um, I just remembered. Wal-Mart sponsors ABC Television. Sorry, but I decline to pay for and take possession of these groceries under protest of ABC's airing of Path to 9/11. Good day."
The area around my vicinity got really quiet as customers couldn't believe what I had done.
And, I walked out.
I thought for a second about wasting everyone's time, but I got over it as I reveled in my protest.

Let the bastards know! At Detroit Metro Airport on Thursday, my friend and I were going to have a snack and a drink before our flight, and he pointed at the Fox Sky Box sportsbar. I made a very loud point that I wouldn't patronize anything with the Fox name on it, and that I hope their food isn't as bogus as their news.

I'm the kind of consumer thatretailers HATE! I do a lot of research before I buy anything, and even then, I'll drop a business like a hot potato ifI hearvconservative or crappy news about them!

8. ARGH! My employer's 401K plan uses Charles Schwab |
|
And my computer runs Microsoft Windows. Other than that, I don't patronize any of the other businesses.

The only ones I have any involement with
NYT, Mastercard and Listerine.
Can't ditch the Mastercard, it's what we use for business. NYT - well, sorry, they're imperfect, but I'm going to keep reading them (esp Frank Rich and Frank Bruni). Listerine? What am I going to drink?

I quit shopping at WalMart a while back, and although I am a member of AARP , I don't have the insurance.
I parted company with AT&T long ago. I REALLY hate me some AT&T

18. Honestly, I'd say stick to Disney, but REALLY boycott it... |
|
no half-assed boycott, cost them money, nothing from DIsney...
If you have too many companies that you are trying to boycott you are going to lose a lot of people...just Disney, but boycott 100%...

I am gonna start sending emails to these people right now telling them that ABC and Disney are not worth advertising with. NYT in particular should be quick to jump ship.
