Will Bush get a bump in the polls this week?
It has been pretty much non-stop 9/11-Osama-terror this past week, and we're not through yet. Me, I'm getting 9/11 burnout, but I'm guessing that Bush will get at least a temporary boost in the polls because of it. Nothing bad has happened to him, and the Dems haven't done much to attack him (aside from attacking ABC and the movie), so I think he'll go up a bit. It's possible that America is getting tired of hearing "terror" every day and that could work against the Republicans. That's all they have to run with.

1. Maybe 1point! Just as the media expectedhim to get a bump
after the England thingthat was supposed to have stopped plane bombings, and he got a whopping 1%, I expect no more than that after this weekend.

2. At first thought I'd say "yes"
because the anniversary will remind 'some' people of a time when *'s polls were they highest. But, with second thought, this docu-,whatever,may back fire and show how desperate & vulnerable the repukes are.

3. No. He is still a fraud and more people are aware of the fact
More people have time to learn just how much of a fraud he is because more people are unemployed.

5. If he does I bet it's pretty modest, and even then one that will evaporate
rapidly.

On Wednesday the talk of Washington will be the results of Tuesday's primary elections.

If Laffey upends Lincoln Chafee in RI, that's almost certainly a loss for the Republicans of one seat in the Senate. It could portend other losses later in November. And it's going to be on folks' minds in Washington and throughout the 50 states' party organizations.

Bush's "accomplishments" this past week don't seem to have amounted to much, IMO. I'm wildly biased, but his Vice President was lying through his teeth on MEET THE PRESS, and Kindasleezy was lying through her teeth on whatever program it was, and all Dubya could do is remind voters how nasty al Qaeda is, and how al Qaeda's comin' to git 'em,' and more of that sort of horseshit.

I'm not seeing how that helps Bush or the Republicans.

6. no. but the MSM willl say he did...
and a year from now, we will read an article that says he really didn't (if we bother to read page 15 {in tiny print at the bottom}).

7. Maybe a very temporary one
His act is old & tired - I wish he would just resign before we have to impeach him.

9. a feeble one

He could get as high as 42%, but that won't last the week.

There's nothing Democrats can really do except keep pointing out the fraud/misgovernance that a next attack will expose fully.

They're running on fumes in the polling. A serious reverse in Iraq or an actual Al Qaeda attack kills them.

10. Amerikans
are getting tired of being afraid. And they are finding there are more pressing personal matters than the war on terror. Any bump shrubbie gets will be small and temporary.

12. Of course he will -- it will be an ENORMOUS bounce!!!!
Why? Because the media will tell us he did, and lay the groundwork for republicans increasing their seats in the mid-terms. Not because people, assuming they are able to vote, actually voted for them, but because we will be told that republicans everywhere won because of the "big bounce" the media tells us about. Bush and all the republicans will get a big bounce, even if ABC and the rest of the complicit media have to manufacture it.

Disney/ABC is part of the media that is charged with informing us. However, it's quite obvious that, with this shameful 4-hour GOP campaign commercial they ran for free, we are living in a country where reality is fabricated to suit the malevolent purposes of Washington.

13. He could drop. There isn't much about 9/11 left to lift him.
People are healing and reassessing where we all stand. The pain and fear of 9/11 is becoming something people want to remember more vaguely. I don't think they will respond well to Bush's picking the scabs for political gain.

Generally, the more people see of Bush, the lower his polls go. Also, the Senate report and the Cheney and Rice performances today confirm these people as incompetent liars. So I'll go out on a limb and predict a 3-point drop for Bush in the next round of polls.

14. In all seriousness, (for once,)
I'd say no. I really think "Path to 9/11" is going to backfire on him. I was up in arms over it all week, but now that it has been shown, and been shown to be so bad that the freepers tuned it out, I think the publicity it has given to * and gang will be very bad publicity. We've had to fight so hard all week to get the truth out. I think over all, we, the Dems, have done a great job. There has been so much controversy, there hasn't been any time for * to get noticed. Hahaha. As for his speech tomorrow night (KKKarl is probably hoping for a bump) as far as I can tell, it won't even be shown here in San Diego. We get a football game instead of part two of P 9/11 and *. Can't beat that!
