Whatever the ratings, CBS won a moral victory over ABC
The 9/11 movie CBS showed was absolutely appropriate for the 5th anniversary of September 11th and an inspiring commemoration of the heroism shown by so many that day. Running it commercial-free really was a public service.

And as I watched it, and saw so many firefighters working at Ground Zero after the attacks without their masks, I thought of Katie Couric's story on 60 Minutes about the damage that had been done to their health because they weren't protected from the dangers of the dust on the site.

I was disgusted by what was done to Dan Rather, but I must say, CBS did the right thing twice tonight.

At the bottom of their web page, there's a "contact us" link. ABC has gotten so much attention for their $40 million bowel movement, it might be nice to give CBS some props.

2. Whether It Was Guilt Or Patriotism,They Have Restored My Respect For Them
As for my trust in CBS to report the news on a daily basis accurately and without propaganda or bias, that's another story!

3. I watched a little of each..........
the CBS piece has run before, hasn't it? It was excellent. The Narration by Robert DeNiro gave it that gravitas that the ABC POS lacked. Seriously, that ABC "mockumentary" was unwatchable. There was no cohesion, camera angles were awful, they switched from shot to shot so much people were having epileptic seizures. It was total crap, unwatchable. The only people who could watch it are the ones who are already Bush sycophants.

It had a neighborhood feel to it and actual characters you could care about, unlike Freeper Madness on ABC.

8. I watched FORMER ABC employee Ted Koppel on the Discovery Chanel
instead of ABC. I think I shall give him some props as well.

9. I don't know, the Koppel show was okay
I think he was shooting for being "fair & balanced" about the whole thing, he didn't want to seem partisan to the average Joe. But he should have asked much harder questions and not allowed the GOP to get away with using him as medium in rehashing their same old talking points. It was a lot better than that crap ABC showed but it could have been better, much better.
