My husband has CNN on, and my younger daughter, 20, was walking by when the commentator announced an upcoming story on Bush's defense of his wiretapping of American citizens.

Her comment: What's so great about being an American if you don't have any privacy?

This is my quiet daughter who has taken NO interest in politics or her mother's rantings.
She was on her way out the door, but when she gets back, I'm going to show her her senators' web sites so she can write an e-mail in opposition to the Alito confirmation.

Its funny in my house have a 18 year son and 17 year daughter both liberals (Yes liberals better watch those Libby's under the bed.) But the funny story is husband is Republican least he was he is beginning to see the light. Politics is discussed in our house at the dinner table. The kids our great they seem to check out both sides of the issue and always come up every time with the left answer.
