Anyone who can get bush to say, "i don't wanna talk about it" deserves a bit of praise, in my book.

2. What's with the little banty roostser going toe to toe. |
|
It was the same thing with the Brian Williams interview. Carl Rove must think it makes him look like a tough guy. I think it showcases what a lightweight he really is. It was good to see Matt Lauer addressing Bush's anterior orifice for a change. I'd give anything to see him and KO in each other's faces.

4. Bush is clearly insane. |
|
If he's that aggressive and intimidating with his subordinates, no WONDER he never hears the truth. Who would even think he'd HEAR it?
Lauer did very, very well considering Bush was standing there POKING him. Bush's reality is so narrow! "I'm protecting your family" is his excuse for going Full Metal Nixon.
It doesn't seem as though he's allowed himself to understand (and that's the only excuse, it's too simple) about what the opposition really expects. He INSISTS that his critics are bent because he's spying on al qaeda -nothing about warrants.
He's clearly insane.

Why are they standing in the oval office like that? It was good but something just didn't seem right

9. I'd imagine that the WH set the conditions about standing |
|
-to make bush look engaged or something, is my bet. It just made him look unpleasantly overbearing, in an unhinged kind of way, to me.

6. glad to see people do it, but a couple of years late |
|
I'm more impressed with the people who stood up to him in 2002-2004.
After Abu Ghraib, the gloves should have come off with everybody, and after Schiavo and Katrina, that should have been enough of a vocal minority of critics to give even the MSM the cover to do their jobs.
Go after Bush now is like kicking Jeffrey Dahmer while he's in a coma. You can understand why someone wants to do it, but it's not exactly an act of courage.

|
in his schizophrenic scene talking to himself in the second intallment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Anybody see the resemblance? He is totally insane. The stories that are going to come out about this guy after he leaves office will be mind boggling. Let's just hope we can get him to leave office a little sooner than expected.

wow. whomever thought that THIS was a good idea for the White House really doesn't understand how ridiculous the pResident looked!
a few things --->
-- anyone else notice the macabre GRIN that breaks out on *'s face when he says "wanting to kill your family"?!?! i'm no psychologist--but that just seems kind of sick.
--- right before * makes the point that the terror plots are "real...not make-believe" -- he looks to the ground (breaking eye-contact w/ lauer), shakes his head, and shrugs his shoulders.
i think that * is having issues believing the crap he's being instructed to capitulate.
his head is going to explode.
there will be cocaine residue everywhere.

First, I hadn't see that so thank you for posting.
Now on to the video.
Lauer did a fine job of keeping on target and not being distracted. No doubt that wasn't an easy task with bush invading his personal space and poking him throughout the interview.
Bush came off as being heavily on the defensive and disrespectful of anyone of a different mind than himself. It was a freakish mix of arrogance, defensiveness and deer caught in the headlights. It was riveting in the same way as a train wreck. You don't like what you're seeing but are so amazed by how horrific it is you just can't take your eyes off of it.
Whomever the person in the WH is that thinks it's a good idea to let bush on camera to sell this administrations agenda, is simply an idiot. The man gives horrible political face. Period. Perhaps the person is a Democratic plant?
