22. Since retiring I found that I needed a hobby.
I thought about wood working, but I don't like splinters. Fishing seems OK, but I'm not a good liar. I picked sin. I enjoyed it as a young man. It was handy in the business world. Now I find sin brings comfort to my waning years. They variety of sins are growing. There's always a new one to try out. I'm never bored.

So don't deny an old man the simple joys that sin brings me. Most of them are sins of the heart anyway. The body can't handle the more vigorous sins of my youth.

6. Huh? Wholesome? I would not want my 7 year old daughter hugging
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 11:00 PM by bluerum
this furry little man as she drifts off to sleep - if I had a 7 year old daughter.

"a wholesome alternative to teddy bears and stuffed animals".

Since when did teddy bears and stuffed animals become un-wholesome?

Jeez - what is with these whacko fundie fruit bats?

edit: sp.

"Send a loved one more than just a toy send them a gift that will help shape their future."

Religious indoctrination. Gotta shape those young Minds.

17. Like I Said, I See Absolutely Nothing Wrong With It.
I fail to see why I'm all of a sudden supposed to think it wrong to teach children about religion.

Though I would not choose to buy such a thing for my child, I still don't see any problem whatsoever with someone else doing so.

Tolerance.

26. Its just seems odd to imply that teddy bears and stuffed
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 11:43 PM by bluerum
animals are unwholesome - then shove this fuzzy little jesus doll into your kids arms.

I don't think the talking religion bit is that much of an issue. Plenty of talking stuffed teddy's out there.

On edit: after reading most of the website and not finding any reference to unwholesome Teddy bears, I will just say that I like Teddy bears better than talking Jesus and Moses dolls.

This fundy stuff always gives me the willies.

18. Spreading the word
Our vision is for children all over the world to be able to hear the good news of the gospel. We hope that our products stir up interest and a desire at an early age to have a personal relationship with God. Our dolls are programmed to bring messages of hope, love, joy, wisdom and knowledge from the bible. Donations are used to provide dolls to missionaries, churches and individuals who are spreading God’s word. We have partnered with many world outreach organizations to directly impact children all over the world.

20. Missionary work
That means trouble.

Also, on each of our dolls paper tags we have attached a web address www.moreoflife.org that is designed to present each visitor with a chance to have a personal conversation with God, repent of their sins and receive a fresh start. Please pray that our efforts would help many people.

23. God Bless Them For It.
Like I said: Tolerance.

There is nothing wrong with a desire for children to have a personal relationship with God. And intentions of "messages of hope, love, joy, wisdom and knowledge" are not things that sound oh so evil to me, sorry bub.
