If we were attacked under a Dem. Pres. the repubs would Impeach
They would wail on and on breathlessly about how the president failed to protect us, and failed to get the still elusive Osama and they will draw up impeachment papers and shut down the government for two years and spend hundred of millions of dollars to do it.

They would call the Democratic president a coward, and a failure, and a danger to the nation and they would demand he or she step down and they would blame the still ongoing war on him or her. You know they would.

But bush got to skate all this time without even worrying about any silly old impeachment proceedings. Pitiful.

1. That's because us Democrats do NOT have the Corporate Media on our
side. If we take back The House and still No Impeachments, then we should set upon voting out the morally gutless wonders in their next Primary Election to a newcomer Democrat who will Stand Up For The People before the bloated Mega-Corporations. :patriot:

2. I've posted it on here before
But, Sept 11, 2001 was a Tuesday. Republics would have waited the week out and began impeachment hearings on Monday, Sept. 17, 2001.

3. Let me just play devil's advocate for a second and imagine...

...a Democrat-controlled Congress and a Repuglican President. Wouldn't the Pres have been impeached under those circumstances?

I don't think (in this case only) that it's a question of hypocracy; rather, it's a question of power. Bush does what he wants because he effectively controls two branches of government (OK, three, but don't tell anyone).

4. OSAMA AT LARGE: DAY 1827!!!
that would be the headline every day on nightline or on all the networks until the democrats were run out of town.

it's really astounding what the banana republicans get away with that would get a democrat impeached and/or imprisoned. hell, even just having shrub's unpopularity numbers would do it, yet that hardly seems to matter when a banana republican is in power....

:grr:

5. Republiclowns are clueless f!!ks.
The so-called "conservatives" are incompetent jerks, incapable of grasping the bottom line essentials of running a country.

I, myself, (gasp!) was once totally convinced of the "obvious" logic behind the notion that running a country had to be like running a huge business. Thus, someone of proven ability to manage a large business profitably would be best suited for the job of president.

I just "knew" this was true, without really questioning it, for a while.

The problem with these turkey heads is that they do not value introspection and questioning previously closely held beliefs. They are sure, beyond question, as are their worshipers, that democrats, with their traitorous habit of tolerance, are so ill suited for positions of authority that there is no scheme too ugly to remove them and prevent their selection.

Kind of like when your kid is growing up and is trying his/her wings and there is a little part of most of us that the kid is not ready to borrow the car or your underwear or drink beer.

In weakling republiclown authoritarianism, that little fear is nurtured and coddled until it takes over and we're stuck with a crowd that seems to be able to simultaneously bold that one of their number can be forgiven child molestation or murder, or worse, while blanching and being revolted by the idea that Bill Clinton might enjoy getting his dick sucked or that two men might find themselves attracted to each other in a manner that has nothing to do with the exclusively republican sport of child abuse or mule abuse...or lying about every important issue because of a groveling fear of being challenged and finding out you are full of shit.

6. The attacks of 9/11 would not have happened
because Osama bin Laden would have been laughing his ass off, watching the "liberal media" covering the Civil War that had erupted because Republicans had stormed the White House with the NRA's help trying to get the "illegitimate" President Gore out of office, and Sandra Day O'Conner might have been "taken out" for her "treasonous" vote ...

Remember how the reich was stirring things up, whipping this country into a frenzy over the "election" ...
