He was one of the kids in the hall and he said "I will crush your heads".
I heard he said that on NPR this morning during the course of his trial.
I pictured him holding his index finger just above his thumb and..... you get the picture.

1. The president characteristically lied last night about Saddam being |
|
a threat.
Thousands of lives later the world is less safe, not more.

5. Just before the US illegally invaded Iraq, I was |
|
having a rather heated discussion with a repuke over the wisdom of that action and what the consequences would be. He was convinced the Iraqi people would rejoice that Saddam was gone, would thank the US for liberating them, and the world would be a better place. I told him Saddam's iron grip was all that was standing between the various Iraqi factions and chaos, that the Iraqis would do what people anywhere would do if invaded and occupied - they'd fight like hell - and we'd pay a terrible price, that the world would be more dangerous as a result. "Bush is the greater threat," I told him as he grew red in the face. Seemed like common sense to me.
Would love to run into that guy today. First thing I'd ask would be "So how about that invasion? Was it everything you expected or did the Iraqi welcoming committee let you down? Ready to book a vacation in Baghdad, yet?" Poor, delusional fool.

wrong.
Bush has squandered money and good faith in this reckless, ill-planned assault on a sovereign nation. It is dissembling before his very eyes and Americans are judged by his idiocy.
I want President Gore or President Kerry representing me, not this hapless monkey.
And my god there's Cement-Head Allen down there in Rebel regalia. I could do without Republicans like Allen, too, as long as we're making a list!

8. Saddam was a threat - but not the way BushInc described. |
|
Saddam was getting more and more paranoid as the years went one and for good reason - Bin Laden had him targeted for overthrow or assassination.
It's why he went to extreme measures to stamp down dissent in his country, and would not let extremist Islamic fundamentalists into the political arena.
He needed to be put out of office so a stable leader could takeover, but it needed to be done in a more peaceful way without invasion, something we were close to doing via stepped up diplomacy, but Bush intercepted that peaceful turnover with his premature invasion.
