Ambassador Joseph Wilson Updates BuzzFlash
Ambassador Joseph Wilson Updates BuzzFlash on the Bush Administration's Betrayal of Our National Security

(snip)
Wilson recently told BuzzFlash that he didn't consider himself particularly courageous; he is just doing his civic duty. BuzzFlash disagrees. Wilson and his wife Valerie are American heroes and are honored with this week's BuzzFlash 'Wings of Justice Award.'"

Since that recognition by BuzzFlash, our admiration for Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame has only increased.

This BuzzFlash interview with Ambassador Joseph Wilson was conducted on the morning of Wednesday, September 7, 2006. This is our third interview with Ambassador Wilson.

* * *

BuzzFlash: Reporters and pundits have used various terms -- Plamegate and Wilsongate, among others -- when talking about this administration's treatment of you and your wife, Valerie Plame. BuzzFlash and BuzzFlash readers see it as symbolic of the White House's willingness to betray the national security interests of the United States by seeking vengeance on individuals. We'd like to ask you for an update, on three different levels, to the degree that you can discuss the facts with us despite lawsuits and ongoing investigations.

1. What an impressive man. I hope the Wilsons complete the job...
and show this cabal, and the rest of those who are betraying our country and our Constitution, that they aren't going to get away with it.

The Wilsons are brave to pursue this violation to their privacy, well-being and personal worth and I wish them the best outcome possible.

I just wonder how many years of hard work has been flushed down the drain due to this administration's misconduct...treason, if you will. With the Wilsons and Mr. Fitzgerald biting at their heals, perhaps these heels will finally learn that truth will prevail.

2. Even Mr. Wilson had not thought about the possibility that the Bushites
were actually going after Plame, to knock her out of the picture regarding WMDs, and Wilson was just a bowling pin in her direction.

Buzzflash - ""But if your wife was involved in the effort to look into WMDs in Iraq, and the administration went ahead at a time when these findings were still inconclusive, one can only speculate that in their effort to blame the CIA for all that -- Valerie Plame could have been the target, and you’re really just collateral damage.""

3. KGO's Bernie Ward interviewed  Joe Cotchett, their lawyer
Bernie Ward had  Joe Cotchett on his program last night for two hours. REALLY good stuff worth listening to. Bernie and Joe have been friends for decades and Joe has been on the program before so it went very well and they covered a lot of material. Joe Cotchett is damn near a Renaissance man and well worth the time listening to. KGO will archive the segments until midnight, tonight.

Newsom business partner is lead lawyer in lawsuit against Cheney

Phillip Matier, Andrew Ross

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Joe Cotchett, a top Democratic fundraiser, trial lawyer and longtime wine and restaurant partner of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, has just been named to lead ex-CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson's big lawsuit against Vice President Dick Cheney, his former chief of staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby and presidential adviser Karl Rove.

And with the ex-Army Special Forces Col. Cotchett's take-no-prisoners approach to lawyering, you can bet this case will be a doozy.

In the suit, Wilson and her husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson, accuse Rove, Cheney and Libby of intentionally exposing Valerie Wilson's classified CIA status to reporters in retaliation for ex-envoy Joe Wilson publicly challenging President Bush's evidence justifying the war in Iraq.

"Money is not what this case is about," Cotchett said Tuesday. "It's (about) a little piece of paper -- sometimes known as our Constitution."
