Phony Conservatives react to Olbermann
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1700111/posts

Unsurprisingly, Keith's words go directly over their idiotic, black-and-white view of things.

This one is especially telling:

"too bad MSNBC studios weren't on floor 101 that morning"

Please stop calling these morons conservatives. My grandparents are conservatives and they don't deserve to be linked to scum like this.

1. Read John Dean's "Conservatives Without a Conscience" to
see his take on delineating between "true" conservatives and these pretenders who stole the moniker.

13. Correct!
This band of liars and thieves are not Conservatives. Conservatives are decent people who may not always agree, but are willing to listen, look for the most "conservative" means of doing things and don't blow the entire nation's treasury and future on their screwball ideas to dominate the world.

2. These people are fanatics, extremists.

3. How very, very American. Don't like someone's Free Speech? Wish them
horrible death. Sounds like a winner to me.:sarcasm:

Evil bastards, you'll be put back into the closet soon enough once we wrestle control away from your wicked little hands.

4. Actually most of them are simply bigots who find validation
for their hatred of blacks, Mexicans, and "ragheads" in the not-so-subtle signals sent out by this administration and its media accomplices. "Conservsatism" has nothing at all to do with it.

9. I have no idea what the hell they are
All I know is I can't believe people like this actually exist and live in the same country as me.

Their hero mAnn Coulter wishes death on everyone from the New York Times to the people in front of her at the drive-thru. These shit-stained lemmings are just following her dim witted example.

15. hate speech is, indeed, dangerous.
WHat is the answer to it?

I really don't know.

I keep hearing "Freedom of speech" as a rationalization for all manner of hate speech, and that includes among Dems.

You are right, this is the result. Wishing death to those who dare to speak in a way you disagree with.

What is the answer to it?

We're drowning in our toxic speech.

17. An interesting aside about Annie...
...she came to my town for a pro-life fund-raiser this past weekend. When it was brought to light all the "pro-death" comments she has made, the pro-life group who sponsored the talk wished that it hadn't invited her. A spokesperson said Annie was booked before Godless came out, and also said the the organization has had to field a lot of calls from its members complaining about her.

So, there is some promise of hope -- however dim -- for some on the right.

Sorry for the digression from the topic at hand.

8. I guess they don't like when someone reminds them that 9/11...
Edited on Tue Sep-12-06 02:17 PM by Crankie Avalon
...is NOT some great accomplishment of the Bush administration. It the first of its three most obvious massive failures of America, along with (2) duping the country into entangling itself into the military adventure in Iraq and (3) not responding to Katrina.

How dare (!!!) Keith Olbermann remind them that 9/11 is not a day to celebrate, but a day to mourn and to reflect on one of the gravest betrayals of America by an administration steeped in such betrayals.

10. Too bad a certain Silverstream trailer in Fresno, California . . .
well, not okay with flying airplanes to do it, but in my book it would still be worth dropping a satellite on them from orbit, and their little meth lab outhouse too.

But, sigh, if we cared enough about it they validate us. As it stands though, they even validate banana slugs, in fact. So they are valuable to the environment and therefore should be protected from hunting to extinction, or self attempts at darwinian evolution, such as actually enlisting and putting their fat asses in front of Thuh Enumy in Eye-Rack.

Unfortunately that means if any breeding pairs of freepers ever show up with an IQ over 50, they're well on their way to extinction since low IQ seems to be another hallmark of that crew. I think it's possible they may just evolve out of it.

That or finally become sessile.

11. There are traditional conservatives, Burke people.
Goldwater conservatives, Ike conservatives, Paleo-cons, Neo-cons, Reaganites and then there are REPUKE SCUMBAGS. I know quite a few conservatives, Repukes ain't even close. A Repuke is someone who wants me dead because I vote Dem - like Anthrax Ann or Joe 'I killed my secretary' Scarborough.

These people want to take us back before 1929 in my view, perhaps even before 1776.
