with the Tasini votes.
I'd like to add, the Gov. race in Minnesota - how many liberal votes will Becky Lourey get against the more convervative endorsed DFLer Mike Hatch.

But I'll be surprised if she breaks 25%. She has a bright future as a statewide candidate. Maybe the DFL will get it right in four years. Alas I don't see Hatch beating T-Paw this November. I'm on pins and needles waiting for Minneapolis progressives to deliver for Keith Ellison, who has always stood up for us. Erlandson and Reichgott Junge, not so much. More here on why Keith must win . . . http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=160x20768

5. According to Politics 1... |
|
this is a crafty strategy to block the Dem line (Sanders declines the nominatation and the Dems don't replace him), to get Bernie as many votes as possible in November.

12. If Vermont has rules like California Bernie would have to "register" |
|
... as a Democrat or a write-in in order to get votes counted.
Just writing in someone else's name in California doesn't count unless that person is a "registered" write-in candidate. Don't know if Vermont's like that too, but if it is, even if Bernie gets a majority of votes, they wouldn't be counted if he hadn't registered as a write-in, if they have rules like California.

13. Here's how they explain it... |
|
Self-proclaimed socialist Congressman Bernie Sanders (Independent) is a near lock to win the Green Mountain State's open US Senate seat in November. On Tuesday he is expected to win the Democratic nomination -- something he doesn't want -- over four Democrats who actually want to be the Dem nominee. The State Democratic Party and the DSCC are both backing Sanders, who promised to caucus with the Senate Democrats if he wins. To help Sanders in November, they convinced him to run in the primary, just so he can renounce the nomination after winning it. That means there will be no Democrat on the ballot against him in the general election. http://politics1.com/
