"Woolsey Watch: If It's Monday, It Must be Iran" (Steve Clemons)
Steve Clemons has an interesting post up. Seems that the neo cons who conned us into Iraq are at it again.

Here's part of the post:

"Woolsey Watch: If It's Monday, It Must be Iran

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies and the Committee on the Present Danger, two front organizations in the neoconservative network, will try and move a "military strike" against Iran a notch closer tomorrow.

Monday morning, 9:30 a.m., in SC-6 of the U.S. Capitol, war-profiteer and former CIA Director R. James Woolsey will be joined by former RNC Spokesman and President for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies President Clifford May and Arizona Senator (and staunch supporter of the recess appointed John Bolton) Jon Kyl to help roll out public opinion research that allegedly states that Americans support military action against Iran and its alleged nuclear weapons program.

Some may try and laugh this off --but it's no funny matter.

James Woolsey successfully master-minded the mass communication fiction that Saddam Hussein was connected to the 9/11/2001 al Qaeda attacks in New York and Washington by alleging that connection on major news stations on the day America was under siege. And while connecting Iraq to America's new terror problem, Woolsey failed to disclose that he was assisting his legal client Ahmed Chalabi who had everything to gain from a war against terror that included Iraq.

Woolsey & Co. are at it again on Iran..."

1. Woolsey got away with a HUGE snowjob on Daily Show last week.
Stewart acted like he absolutely didn't have a clue that this guy was a fulltime pusher for PNAC.

4. Pulling the Woolsey over our eyes. Attack ain't gonna happen
The Pentagon ran Iran scenarios and war games during 2004, and in every single one of them, the conflict with Iran escalated out of control. The Generals won't commit U.S. forces under these circumstances of uncertain outcomes and a complete lack of an acceptable end-game. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6039135/site/newsweek /

This Iran war drumming is a neocon con game for the benefit of BushCo.

5. I believe the same thing happened for the Iraq fiasco. They finally
had to take the guy who was running the winning side and told him he couldn't win anymore. And if the generals won't commit their troops without uncertain outcomes and and end-game - what are we doing in Iraq? Since when can the generals tell the president they don't like the war?

6. Since when? Since we lost in Iraq. . .
Since Scooter was indicted. Since Larry Franklin was convicted. Since half the White House was deposed before a federal Grand Jury.

Do you think any of that would have happened unless the Joint Chiefs of Staff and heads of career intelligence hadn't allowed, if not demanded, it? These aren't normal times.

Yes, the JCS and career CIA have called a time-out until the refs figure out whether to eject Bush-Cheney from the game..
