In the "Best Political Blog" category, the choices are:

Wonkette

Firedoglake

Crooks and Liars

Talking Points Memo

Daily Kos

...but there are many other categories as well. Go HERE to vote:

1. I've cited quite a few of those in the DU Blog Box column...
during the last 10 months.

Do you read any of those blogs regularly?

2. Crooks & Liars most frequently...

...and I owe them a huge debt when it comes to my posts. I'm always pointing to new content on C&L.

Daily Kos? Not a fan. Can't really tell you why...the whole Kos experience just doesn't grab me.

Wonkette...same as Kos, I guess. She's got a vibe, and that vibe doesn't pull me in.

TPM? Yeah, on occasion, but not daily.

Other than DU, most of my traffic goes to Raw Story, Huffington Post, Crooks & Liars, and Media Matters. That pretty much encapsulates the overall voice I respond to and try to emulate in my own posts.

Also, I was pleased to see that "The Superficial" was nominated. It's a really snarky, sarcastic site, but obviously done with tongue firmly planted in cheek. I draw heavily on that site for my "Lounge" posts.

ON EDIT: I also frequent Salon, but it seems to me that in the last six months the site has really lost something. The new site design is bland, unappealing, and has zero attitude.

:patriot:

3. Do you check out Think Progress?
Their researchers are as good as Media Matters, IMHO.

I'm with you on Kos & Wonkette.

Once a blog moves into terminal "Breaking News " territory, it's never the same for me. Blogs are for connecting the dots (at least for me).
