So why is Abramoff any different? Because he stood in the line at least 5 times and got his picture taken more than any of the other 9,000. And he was a Pioneer - someone who gave at least $100,000 to the Bush campaign. Yeah, that's the ticket...uh-huh...

9. Abramoff didn't stand in any damn lines. If he did they were short.
And they were at events were all the Republican crimnals were gathered.

3. You know, I can not believe Molly Ivins hasn't found some good
pictures. Like someone said, there has got to be some pictures in the archives at Texas news orgs and magazines? It is truly amazing how someone like JA, with all the positions and contacts he had, doesn't have a zillion pics out there - incriminating and benign. But there are no photos of him AT ALL. It is almost like he had a phobia or knew he didn't need to be photographed.

11. I think its that he liked to operate behind the scenes
I've been a lobbyist in DC for over a decade and believe me, there are lots of better known, more public lobbyists out there than Abramoff. I think he felt that his type of operation worked better in the shadows than out in the open.

Bush Aide Says Abramoff Photos Coincidence

Monday January 23, 2006 1:03 PM

WASHINGTON (AP) - An adviser to President Bush said Monday that Bush's photographs in the company of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff amount to a coincidence and shouldn't be interpreted any more seriously than that.

``He doesn't have a personal relationship with him,'' White House counselor Dan Bartlett said of Bush and Abramoff, who recently pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from his lobbying practices and has pledged to cooperate with government prosecutors.

``We acknowledge he (Abramaoff) attended some Hannukuah celebrations,'' Bartlett said in an appearance on NBC's ``Today'' show. ``Any suggestions by critics or anyone else to suggest the president is doing something nefarious with Abramoff is absurd.''

Bush himself has said that he doesn't recall meeting Abramoff.

7. What a fawning goof
I wouldn't stand in line for dubby unless it was to throw a tomato or at a dunk tank.

10. Jack was more then just another Pioneer
He was a member of Bush's 2000 TRANSITION TEAM. Only BushCo Insiders got to be part of that team.
