Tim Curran, Roll Call. Did you hear what he said about the Dems & ScAlito?
He was on C-SPAN, Washington Journal this morning and said it is "UNDERSTOOD" an "UNSPOKEN UNDERSTANDING" that if the Democrats in committee ALL vote "no", they will then support a filibuster. He went on to say that this puts the Democrats in a bad position on the confirmation. The "Left Wing Activist Groups"- Moveon and others...have the Democrat's backs against the wall on this. WHY? Is someone in committee going to vote yes? DiFi? OR, do they not have the support from 41 Senators to support a filibuster? Did I understand what he was saying? Or did I miss something? Does he know something we don't know? Is there a Committee Democrat who's going to vote yes?:(

14. I can't figure out why people in the media mention
Moveon as if it were a dead salamander or something. It's a large grassroots group. There's nothing wrong with that!

6. I don't think so, but DiFi has.
She doesn't see any reason for a filibuster.:grr:

8. Remember That Tim Curran Once Worked For Ed Gillespie
And, he still works with Chuck Todd, who used to work with David Brock in his political hatchet man days.

11. Back In The Day, On Washington Journal. . .
. . . Ed Gillespie used to be the Roll Call guy who came on to talk about politics. Chuck Todd spun The Hotline off from Roll Call, to be a daily bullet point sheet on politics. Curran started with Roll Call, jumped to Hotline, and when Gillespie left, came back to Roll Call for a higher position. (I know someone from south of Baltimore who knows two of these guys personally. He is underwhelmed. And i'm being kind.)

9. Why Show Cards? Remember Whose Dealin' Here
The ultimate yea or nay on a fillibuster will come from one man...Harry Reid. He will decide to endorse a fillibuster, or he may have some other manuever up his sleeve. Remember, Harry's from Vegas, and looks like he's one hell of a good poker player.

Damn right the right wing wants the ScAlito vote ASAP, if not yesterday...they know the clock is ticking. There are too many scandals, too many distractions, too many fractures erupting within the Repugnican party so they need a vote and fast. Harry is letting the Senate do what it was designed to do...deliberate.

I know this game drives people nuts here, but it's well worth the  to see how it's got wingnut stenographers like Curran all tied up in knots trying to spin something here.

It has me on pins and needles too, sitting here cooped up in this hotel room, unable to say anything, unable to go anywhere, waiting for a vote and updating my blog

The Right Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr.
(the A stands for Awesome)
